Terms & Conditions

Last updated: January 2025

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your use of this website and the homeopathic services provided by Nicola Salek RSHom, trading as Highland Homeopathy, based in Nairn, Scottish Highlands, Scotland.

By using this website or booking a consultation, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you have any questions, contact us at nicola@highlandhomeopathy.co.uk.

2. Nature of Services

Nicola Salek is a Registered Homeopath (RSHom) and a member of the Society of Homeopaths. Homeopathy is a system of complementary medicine and is not a replacement for conventional medical diagnosis or treatment.

Nothing on this website or communicated during a consultation constitutes medical advice. You are encouraged to continue consulting your GP or specialist for any medical condition and to inform them that you are receiving homeopathic treatment.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please contact the emergency services (999) or attend your nearest A&E department.

3. Consultations

Consultations are offered in person at our Nairn practice and via video call. By booking a consultation, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you are the parent or legal guardian of a minor for whom you are booking.

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue treatment at our professional discretion. In such cases, we will endeavour to give reasonable notice and, where appropriate, recommend alternative sources of support.

4. Fees and Payment

Consultation fees are as stated on this website. Fees are payable at the time of consultation unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance. We accept payment by bank transfer and cash.

Remedy costs, where applicable, are charged separately and will be communicated clearly at the time of prescription.

Concession rates are available at our discretion for those who would otherwise find fees prohibitive. Please discuss this with us prior to booking.

5. Cancellation Policy

We ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be charged at 50% of the full consultation fee. Missed appointments without notice may be charged in full.

We will always endeavour to give you as much notice as possible if we need to cancel or reschedule on our side, and no charge will be made in such circumstances.

6. Confidentiality

All information shared in the course of a consultation is treated in strict confidence in accordance with our professional obligations and UK GDPR. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details of how your personal and health data is handled.

7. Website Use

The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. While we endeavour to keep all information accurate and up to date, we make no warranties regarding the completeness or accuracy of the content.

All text, design, and other content on this website is the intellectual property of Highland Homeopathy and may not be reproduced without permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Highland Homeopathy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or our services.

Our total liability in connection with any consultation or service shall not exceed the fee paid for that consultation.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your care or experience, please contact us directly in the first instance at nicola@highlandhomeopathy.co.uk. We take all feedback seriously and will respond promptly.

If your concern is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may raise a formal complaint with the Society of Homeopaths at www.homeopathy-soh.org.

10. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of the website or our services constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
